This is my second pair of Salomon's, with the first needing retirement after 6 years. When I bought them, the saleslady said she wore them on a long hike the very first time we wore them and had no issues. That was the same experience for me. But for this last purchase, it has not been quite the same experience. Something has changed in the design of the shoe. I have to work to get the laces tucked neatly into the pouch in the tongue and the shoe rubs against the right side just below the ankle. However, after wearing them for a short distance, it isn't bothersome. Just feels a bit tender on the next day's wear.
Australia AustraliaI replaced my previous pair of these as they’d lost all grip (well worn) and this replacement pair were comfortable straight away and didn’t require wearing in. Haven’t tested the waterproofing yet.

- Make sure you are wearing the same socks that you would normally wear with this type of shoe
- Wearing these socks, stand on the sheet of paper with your foot perpendicular to the wall and your heel against the wall.
- Then use a pen to draw a line just in front of your big toe. Repeat for both feet and take the longer distance to determine your size.
- Using a ruler, measure the distance between the wall and the line you drew to find your size.
