Favourite all round shoe

I Love these shoes, use them for everything from bush walking to working on the farm and general day to day in town. dont change a thing !!

Great hiking shoe

I have a wide foot so it is hard to find comfortable shoes with appropriate support, but these do the job. These shoes are incredibly supportive and can handle any terrain. My first hikes through sand and water nothing came into the shoe at any point. Easily walk over slipper surfaces or rocky surfaces with ease. The shoes do need wearing in, as the waterproof material on the top of the foot does dig into the big toe as the other reviews mentioned, if not for this I would've given the shoe a 5 star rating. Once you break them in/warm them up though they are a great hiking shoe, great investment.

Not that comfy

I've been only wearing Salomon for years now and I've always been more than happy, but this X ULTRA 4 WIDE GTX is hurting my feet on top where the shoe bends. Great quality as always, but unfortunately not the comfiest Solomons I've ever bought.
