AustraliaVery disappointed with Salomon
After purchasing Salomon shoes for the better part of the last decade for trail running and hiking, I will avoid them at all costs due to a lack of customer care. After my last Quest GTX 4 was ground to the dust, I purchased some new shoes. I was quite surprised to see the wrong pair of shoes arrive. Despite being sent the wrong pair of shoes, Salomon refused to cover the cost of packaging, and would only cover shipping. The second pair of shoes, although correct as per my initial order had a missing lace lock. The third pair of shoes, arriving over a month after the initial order, was sent in the wrong colour. I was not asked if I wanted a refund or informed that the colour would be different. After this Salomon customer care ignored my complaints via direct chat and email correspondence. Avoid Salomon, and if you are interested in buying their shoes, do it from a business that cares.

This is my fourth pair. I keep coming back as they are super comfortable and provide excellent ankle support. I have walked the Camino Del Norte, the NZ Abel Tasman, the Tasmanian overland trail and about another 2500km per year. You can’t go past this boot.

- Make sure you are wearing the same socks that you would normally wear with this type of shoe
- Wearing these socks, stand on the sheet of paper with your foot perpendicular to the wall and your heel against the wall.
- Then use a pen to draw a line just in front of your big toe. Repeat for both feet and take the longer distance to determine your size.
- Using a ruler, measure the distance between the wall and the line you drew to find your size.
